Thanks! Goldfish plant is very common here. :>)
I'd never go to Alaska in winter! I hate the cold weather!!! :>)
We've had some very unusual cold weather in all of CA. Last night most of the state was under frost or freeze warnings. (except for the coast and parts of Southern California). Even far inland San Diego County had frost advisories. (which is unheard of this time of year!). Today is going to be much warmer though...up to 70F/21C., finally some relief! :>)

Yes, I don't like the cold either Delonix...my house is always warm..never under 18C.
It's still nice and warm here, but this rain is driving us crazy. Arg
I can just imagine You and Meanie is Alaska....BBBRRRRR

How cold is it there?
My high/low temps yesterday, this morning were: 65F/18C., 41F/5C. The day before the high temp. only made it up to: 57F/ 14C. though.

A high of 20C and a low of about 14C at night.....
Wow, you guys are having really strange weather.
I need to get an outdoor thermometer. We use to have a digital one with an outside wire....wind destroyed that as well.

Mine said low -4deg c. last night, 2 deg high today.

Saw your weather on the new yesterday....snow making it's way south... Wish it would make it all the way down to us.

Oh goodness! you are only into November, my friends....by February all will be well...and I'll be hip deep in snow with minus 30 degree C. temps! Laugh it up..you really are very lucky!
26 Nov, 2010
The temp this afternoon is very nice...almost 70F/21C at 12:30p.m. -- still a little below normal though.
Alexandamou:
The weather the whole year has been very strange! We've had very few weeks of normal weather. Hopefully, next year we'll have our normal mild subtropical weather back! LOL! :>)
Do you usually get a lot of rain during winter? ...or is all the rain very unusual?
26 Nov, 2010
Meanie:
Those are incredibly cold temps! Is is typical for this time of year...or well below normal?

Lori:
That's frigid temps! - and all that snow! Wow!!!

Similar temps to Delonix's, here, except a smidge chillier at night--predicting 36 F (2.2 C) tonight, getting down to 26 F (-3.3) in the outlying areas of the Valley of the Sun. Gotta go cover the Hibiscus, but the Bougies can fend for themselves!

I think this plant looks very beautiful even if its not in bloom.Am I right Del?

Camillia:
Goldfish plant always had flowers on it...but if it didn't have any flower it would be very beautiful. It has really shiny, attractive leaves.
