They seem to be quite robust and have survived in a very exposed gravel garden at one of my customers for at least 4 years.
Theyb grow from what I think are corms and each corm seems to get at least 2 and sometimes as many as 4 shoots growing from it. I cut one up in spring a couple of years ago with a shoot in each piece and they all survived.

I bought them 3-4 years ago Tretrarch so I'm not sure you'll have much luck at wilco's ... worth a try though

Lovely colour isn't it? I went out today to survey the damage...so far not too bad, I think everything will recover! Still a lot of snow on the ground, but a bit less each day thank goodness. I got a bit more of the autumn clear up done, while slipping around all over the place!
