Terratoonie:
Thanks! It's probably my favorite Jasmine! It grows to a 6ft/2m tall shrub with dense very nice glossy leaves, very fragrant ever-blooming flowers...what more can one ask for. :>)

It's one of my favorites, too, but a blamed nuisance for chorosis in our soils--we grow it mainly in pots.

Tugbrethil:
Some of the nicest specimens I've ever seen where growing in the very rich soil of the San Francisco Bay Area.

Well, I always tell my customers to dig a $50 hole for a $10 plant, around here! ; )

Tugbrethil:
Sounds like a good idea. I can barely dig a $10.00 hole here in my rocky soil. lol! :>)

That sounds about right for our rocky soil. lol! :>)
When I lived in the San Francisco Bay Area the soil was terrific! Very fertile! I could easily dig a 5 foot hole when the soil was dry.

Here in the Valley of the Sun, we have three choices:
6" of gravel over bedrock.
12 " of sand and gravel over caliche (thick limestone deposits)
Or 100 ft. or more of hard, adobe clay.
Well, that's gardening in a semi-arid climate! : )

Tugbrethil:
There's lots of problems with caliche soil here also.
We've had a lots of flooding rain in the last week here...it's very good for breaking down the caliche soil. :>)
