Even though it was 83ºF/28ºC. in the park this past Monday there wasn't many people there (which is very unusual). Photo taken Dec. 13, 2010.

Yes, it's a beautiful Victorian Style lath house which was finished being built in 1915 for Panama Exposition. It's amazing how many redwood laths it took to build this huge structure. If you look at the building closely you can see through it.

The Botanical Building was originally built as an orchid lath house. Now, it has hundreds of species of other tropical plant in it.

Yes, there's hundreds of orchids in the Botanical Building. They're all blooming now too.
