Lunar Eclipse, Dec 20

Wonderful shot. I'm glad the camera still worked at those temperatures. I think I would have stayed indoors and looked through a window.

I didn't know about it :o( otherwise I would have looked. We had clear skies that night, but it was only -8 (much colder than we usually get and much too cold for me lol)

Thanks. :-) I kept time to go just at the peak, ran out with camera on a tripod, sit, shoot and ran back in! Second check, it had clouded over. Such a short trip and the camera did alright.

This eclipse was full in the pacific ocean, so I think it would have been day on that side. Next time it would happen in this place again would be in 40 years or so. I though that rare enough to get out and catch a shot. (I studied a map to make sure I would know the timing.) :-)

i saw it at about 7.40am.....it was good till about this stage..but then the clouds came over...but it was lovely and only -7 here....

I think you got more enjoyment than I, Sandra. I would have loved seeing it in a morning sky. My temps, I just took a moment, wow, and back inside. (This weather you pull the curtains because the windows are so cold)

I see you were watching too! I just added a couple shots that I took. I was surprised, that they came out pretty well. It was very cloudy, and only cleared here and there. Happy New year Joseph :)
