That's a real downer!!

I think maybe during the drought we had I did not give it enough water. Shame. Yours is a corker. Do you keep it indoors?

Oh, I'm liking this more and more...will go on my "must buy list"

Grandmage - yes it's indoors for the winter.
Alexandra - you're such a copycat!!!!! Mind you, it should do well over there....
Sticki - the colour gets even better when there's a lot of sun, sort of deeper.

Meanie:

Great shot! It amazes me the color is so intense indoors. Of course, this plant is grown outdoor as a small tree here in full sun...but the flowers do have the same color intensity.

That is stunning and gorgeous colour.

wonderful colour, would love to see it as a small tree.

You're so right Karen!
Delonix - The ones that I saw blooming before mine did were just that bit deeper in colour. Mine has got paler as we got further into winter. Might it be possible that the California sun bleaches them a little?
Hopefully you will next year Lulu - at the moment this is just a few branches. It was just a cutting when I got it.

Meanie:

The flowers here are violet to royal purple, blue in full sun . The winter sun doesn't bleach them out...however, sometimes hot spring sun can, sometimes.
