Came home empty handed yesterday Yorkshire. ;o(
I'm determined to take a picture of this weed that shows it's full beauty.

Stunning blue; I would like to see a picture of the leaves to help identification.

I took a few pics today Rbtkew but the flower came out blury. It's so small that the slightest breeze moves it. Will have another try tomorrow.

I also love the flowers with the delicate pale blue. Although the flowers are very tiny, they tells you that spring can't be far behind. So sweet. It's a very common weed in Japan. Name: Veronica persica (common names: Persian speedwell, large field speedwell, bird's-eye, or winter speedwell) (Wikipedia).

You are right Tommyroo, of course it's a speedwell. I should have spotted that as I like Veronica species and I don't think of them as weeds.
