Don't know how old they are but they have always been kept out of the light. They are certainly 50 years old, maybe older. I ask my Dad but he can't remember!!

Dont hang them in direct sun light then, maybe find a shady nook.

The crysanthum shows its Japanese I m sure they are and worth money.

They may be, I should have them valued at our local Bonhams, would never sell them though, they have been part of my life since I first noticed them aged about 3!

This one looks Chinese to me. I'm not an expert so I may be wrong but cocks are not as popular/common motif in Japanese art as cranes or phoenixes, although Chinese seem to love them too. The flowers to me looks like peonies. If they were chrysanthemums, the petals would be longer + thinner and curl up at the tips (that's the typical image of chrysanthemums in oriental art), and some leaves would grow from the main stem. Just a thought.
