I already have this one....San, I think I have photos up of it. It's a small one, can't remember the eventual height, but slow growing. I had one in my old garden for about 5 years and it never grew above 3' tall. Perhaps Janey will know the ultimate height. Its lovely though, spreading habit and twisted branches, very pretty, even in the winter time.

Yes, lovely blossom . . . didn't know it had autumn colour, Janey! Yours is a very good size: I acquired 5 last year, but all smaller than yours, thinking to make a hedge with them, but that didn't work. OH has now planted 3 in the front garden, and I shall "bonsai" the others.

Sounds perfect Janey.

San, like Karen says, its a slow grower, and a small tree, will reach about 2.5 metres eventually. It's about2.5ft now, I thought it had a beautiful shape, and think I'll plant it in a tub for now. I'm off to have a look at yours now Karen. Yes Sheila, it said it would make a good hedge, but yours didn't work? Very pretty as a specimen small tree. Can't wait till Spring when they both are in flower...:o)

Thanks Amy, yes, I'm hoping to get some structure back in the garden, that'll last for years and bring some winter colour to enjoy...:o)

I love the names of your two little trees, Janey, and I bet they will look really beautiful later in the year. Just looked out of my window on another dull, damp day - I wonder if there is a tree called 'Stuck in the mud' that would fit into my garden :)

Gee19, that is so true of our weather here too, and how I feel about it! :(
Interested to know it will eventually grow to 2.5m Janey! I bet it will take about 20 years to get there! Be lovely though when it does!

Ha...ha Gee....Ian cracked his sides laughing at that!
Same weather here too, murky and dismal....have just moved my Schoolgirl climbing rose to a better place, by the trellis. hopefully it'll suit it better....:o)
Lol Karen, yes when I'm clocking on 80, I'll remember that!...:o))

ho ho hum, do you think we'll still be on here moaning about the UK weather then Janey? ;)
20 Feb, 2011
Lol Karen, yes I'm sure we will....:o)) Unless of course we've retired to the sun, I think I could cope with a balcony and pots...:o)
20 Feb, 2011
Well, yes, I guess I could too, as long as it has a view to die for!
