Heron scarer?

you could always stick it in the pond,

Too small a pond really and it would blow over...awful windy here.

no wind here, just cold and damp, like you Heron by the way,

wa- hay - we have this one!! Unfortunately it was too hidden and a heron ate our fish - it is behind our bamboo

My handsome heron is new, bought him today! I have to admit Paul, it's difficult to place him where he won't be hidden in the summer. I might put him i the grass and hope that the female herons don't come and take a romantic look, as they can do!
I introduced the dogs to him but they took no notice, hope thats not how it works out with the herons!

Looks to me like you may need a cat scarer have you ever seen them lie in wait with one paw in the water,they rae fast.

Cat takes no notice of fish or extra large herons for that matter!

i hear different things about these lulu, some say they work and some not, hope it works for you ;o)

He looks so lifelike Sanbaz from a distance, he gives me quite a fright! I also have fishing line around the pond. I can't even get to the pond, let alone the heron!

some members have netting on all year which would protect them lulu rather than having all that round, then you could get to it to see fish then, just a thought

I find the netting gets in the way also but maybe not as badly as the fishing wire. I bet the neighbours dog jumps in a breaks all the netting though!

just thought would be neater and better for you lulu, but as you say a worry with the dog from next door, wouldnt want an animal to get tangled :o(
