Easy in the greenhouse or if you have the climate Delonix! Hybridization is coming up with plants which are more suited to house conditions, but they're not readily available over here.....

You should come here for an orchid show...there's hundreds of thousands of orchids hybrids available, it can be a bit overwhelming. I do know many orchids are being hybridized for indoor culture or cool tolerance outdoors (for coastal California's climates)

It's the main reason that I avoid the species orchids (with a few exceptions). One or too I can provide for, but more that that would require some heavy investment.

Yes, very true...as it's the second largest family (Orchidaceae) of flowering plants in the world.
