Ilex Holly Golden King

I like this Pp, its lovely

Thank you Val Its 3yrs old and very slow growing, I never knew whether it was male or female as its the first time it has had flower buds, so definately Female despite its name [can you see the little flowers, so excited I will have holly berries this year

yes I can see the buds, will be lovely when the berries appear, and Pp stop calling me Kathy please, its Val, LOl

thats o.k. pp just made me laugh.

I can see them the birds will love them this winter, mind you hope winter stays away for a long time.

I like variegated shrubs and this is a beauty - even more so with the promise of berries :)

It will be nice to see the berries ,Carole.My golden King still has most of its berries yet,and looks lovely..but yours looks a lot more prickly than mine,I wonder why?

When I saw this pic I wondered why my 'Golden King' looks so different to yours. Your leaves are much more serrated, mine seem less so. Very strange!

Carole and Shirley.. I have just looked in my book,and it says,'Golden King'can have either serrated or smoother leaves...so problem solved ! I thought it was strange too,and yours looks a different shade of green to mine,Carole...anyway,they are both nice:o)
