This is a new glazed pot that I have bought to replace my terracota pot which cracked and fell to bits due to the severe frosts, I hope this one lasts a little longer!

I love the colour of that pot Carole..I want a lighter coloured one too.you will have to take it in for the winter,or is it frostproof ? It shows the Heathers off nicely.:o)

Thanks Sixpence and Sandra pleased you both like it, it does say frost proof Sandra I have quite a fewGlazed pots and they have al come through the winter, I ve found its been the unglazed and teracotta that have suffered damage.

Good choice, PP. I have had a few damaged pots too this year where other years they have been fine.

It so sad Gee to lose pots especially ones you are really fond of. My greatest loss and most upsetting is the damage it has reeked upon my new Birdbath it was a Golden Wedding present last year, great chunks of stone has broken off the underside of the bowl part and it looks beyond repair and doesnt hold water anymore;0((

Ohdear, thats a shame about your bird bath Carole ..especially when it was a gift. I have been lucky with the pots,as the frostproof ones are on feet, and I daren't take the risk of not using them in the winter, but they stand directly on the gravel in summer..I put the rest in the loft,or coldfame for the winter..I am going to buy a lighter coloured one this year..I'm just itching to spend the rest of my vouchers Lol.

Really should buy some pot feet myself Sandra they all have saucers but that doesnt lift them off the ground, will start buying a set each time I visit the garden centre, think that will provide me with enough for the winter lol We havent examined the birdbath properly waiting for a dry spell then will be able to tell if it can be saved, fingers crossed;0)
