Birch Midday in Winter

Big old birch around the yard at the cabin. In the day, the sun never gets over the rise, so it is just slanted light like this for a few hours every day. I love the trees when the snow hasn't been disturbed by anything like this on all the branches.

Thanks. This is the glimpse I get for a few months, always just out of reach in the treetops. But i'm on the east side of a hill. The other side is sunny every day, at least directly for a bit. I've had some very sunny places here.

Thank you. The grey clouds are the result of just not enough sun to get them white. This is the norm, gray or bright colored clouds in winter. The sun is hovering over the south horizon.
