Impatiens niamniamensis - Congo Impatiens

My Congo Imapatiens in the front yard which were planted last Fall started blooming about 3 weeks ago...they bloom most of the year here in San Diego. They live about 2 or 3 years before new cutting have to be taken. Photo taken Mar 24, 2011.

Sorry! I don't ever recall any seed pods or seeds from this plant. I've been growing these from cuttings for more than 15 years (from the original plants).

Many of my plants produce seeds. Some of the hybrids won't, though.

That makes sense. Well that means when I come for my coffee beens I'm going to have to walk away with an arm full of cuttings........Customs are going to have a field day. ;o)))
