I saw some at the garden center the other day. I think I will plant some in the fall (assuming they are a fall planted bulb). For some reason, I had always missed these when bulb shopping in previous years.

I always have found the bulbs are not as succesful. I would think it better to plant them whilst in flower now Lainedru. I know they are more expensive but you are more likely to get them growing freely next year.

...or grow them from seed freshly collected - if you know anybody with a spare seed head!

I grabbed some last time I was at lowes. They are still in their container. Haven't figured out where I want them yet. Although, they didn't have the big snake heads. They had one called michael's fritillaria which are very delicate looking. That's what I ended up with. Thanks for turning me on to them!!!!!! :)

went and bought F. pontica yesterday at Harrogate flowershow. I have been well and truely bitten by the bug.
