new leaves on my maple

the leaves have just started to open up on my coral bark maple..

yes it's lovely this tree it has so much going for it, the bark the leaves, autumn the leaves go from green to amber yellow red before falling off. any new growth is vivid bright red.

Thanks Terra, yes it's in a big ceramic pot that stands by the pond sixpence, i was going to bonsai it a few years ago but i thought it was to nice to keep like that.. :-)

Thats a beauty and it shows up so well against the fence, do the stems keep their red all year round?..

hi lincslass, yes although the older it gets the red is not so bright those branches are 4 years old and are still bright red, but the new growth is bright coral red.
