Hi, I am new at growing flowers and have bought several different colors of tulips to plant today. I was wondering if there is a special time of day to plant and water them. Ihave never tried to grow anything before except a rubber plant when I was 24 ( along time ago) and didnt do any good, so any help would be appreciated.

Hi Josiecat, welcome to GoY! Here in the UK, we plant tulips in November to flower April to May, they do need a few months of winter to prepare for spring. Have a look at "planting Tulips in Louisville" and it will give you all the info you need....you may have to store them in the fridge a few weeks before planting in the Autumn (Fall).
