it looks even better now Sandra. my mam gives them to us for birthday presents ...my sister had two colour co-ordinated with her newly decorated room.

It looked great before but looks even better now they're 'anchored' Sandra. I thought I was seeing things this afternoon. Went to local art society exhibition and one of the paintings was almost the same as this, just a few more tulips! Also another of a bunch of pink tulips on black background by same artist. Both looked great, I really like the black it shows off the flowers beautifully and makes a real statement. Well done! :o))

thanx lily, glad you like them, iv started on a black background with orientle lilies today but straight onto the canvas not cut outs first, not sure how it will turn out but i had painted the canvas black for this origanially but decided on a smaller one, fancy you seeing some similar must be spring and everyones doing tulips lol, someone at work has asked me to do a painting for her, its a present for her brothers new house, she want it in black with red like this but alot bigger for the wall behind his sofa, i said i would give it a go but if she didnt want it no matter.hope it works as it will be my first sale haaha :o))

Good luck with that Sandra, it puts the pressure on a bit when it's a commission doesn't it? I was very tempted to buy one today (they were £80 each) but don't really have the right decor or space anywhere. Anyway maybe I'll be able to do my own soon as they gave me a contact for one of their members who does classes. :o)

Please dont think Im patronising when I say I think you are improving by leaps and bounds..

your right it does put the pressure on lily but i have told her im not promising and she understands, i agree if your going to spend that ammount its got to go with your surroundings lily, hope you start up again and maybe this person will be the one to help you, let me know how you get on :o))
