I see a huge gray squirrel occasionally, Drc726. I guess they are around, but so far our two little reds are holding sway at the feeder!
Thanks W'lass and Sandra, She's adorable and her little mate gives me cheek everytime I walk by the cedar where the feeding station is...I think they think I put it up just for them!

Nice to see the reds coming back. Ours have tufts on their ears and are smaller than the greys.

I'm reasonably sure that this is a young lady squirrel as she seems to be expanding her girth every time I see her. It's a good feeling to know that we're helping her and her babies with good plentiful food. The pic was taken on a long cold sleet-filled day and she looked so bedraggled. They really must be tough to survive the winter and then they are faced with the spring like we're having. Poor things. These little reds are much smaller than the gray and black squirrels.
