The plant is called Aquilegia. Don't tell me you don't have any in CA! I have a red one as well. Wanted to take some pics today but the weather is cool and rainy. Yuk, I thought we were done with the cool weather.

Yes, this plant does grow here in the winter.

The weather here is HOT, and it's going to be getting hotter this week. Maybe 100ºF/38ºC. by Tuesday, where I live. The weather people are predicting 90ºF/32ºC for downtown San Diego (the official station) which is one of the coolest weather recording stations in San Diego County. This means all the rest of us will be frying.
