Acer Palmatum Dissetcium Atropupueum

Acer Palmatum Dissetcium Atropupueum

Such a welcoming sight, it gets bigger and better each year, seems to be jostling for space with its neighbours ;0)

I really love these Carole..I wish I had room for one..do you know if I could grow one in a big pot,? as no space in my small garden..

Thanks all for your nice comments, Sandra I think one would grow lovely in a large pot, would make a nice feature;0)

I have had to get rid of a small Camellia today,as all the foliage half way down, turned brown and the leaves were curled ..really strange,as it has been fine for the last 3 years, although it didn't flower this year. The one in the ground is fine,so don't know what happened there.Anyway,
its gone,so may get one like yours.I was going to keep the pot for the Photinia I bought..but I can always get another pot.!:o)

Give it a go Sandra, I think they would be ideal in a pot, Its strange about your Camellia as mine as also got a lot of brown leaves and didnt flower this year, I thought I would leave and see what happens I think the frost knocked it for a six, so hoping it might just recover. I was pointing it out to Harry who could only focus on the the remaining green leaves, talk about your cups half full not empty lol

Lovely plants Pansypotter, but really lovely acer. Love the way it just seems to fall into its own space and mixes so well with all the other plants.

Your acer is a beauty, PP....we visited a garden a couple of days ago and I took some photos of their rock garden with lots of acers. I still have to put the photos into a blog....I like the acers very much but not sure about having one in the garden (possibly a pot though)....
