Thought I'd get a picture before the slugs start munching.

Smashing Hosta, I have to resort to the little blue things as we grow a lot of very big Hostas and they would look awful with holes in them!!

Thankyou:-) yes I have a few in pots too Carole, although they are eventually going in the semi shade bit in the wood, got a recipe from a stall at Malvern a couple of years ago that you water on and supposed to stop the little blighters, garlic and something might get round to giving it a go this year.

I bought couple of reels of copper tape from ebay, 4 metres each reel, reasonable price too. Thats okay for pots but I have the recipe for the garlic drink too Simbad, somewhere, but was hoping that my two little hedgehogs would come back. Still, its been so dry, we havent had the plague we usually get.

We have a couple of thrushes nesting they usually get rid of quite a few, but no there aren't many slugs/snails about here, yet, we really need some rain too.
I haven't seen any hedgehogs this year at all:-(
Had a look for the garlic recipe but as usual I've put it somewhere safe, god knows where, lol.

Lol, great minds Tetrarch, yes I bet a lot have, the cold came so quickly didn't it bet the poor little things didn't have time to prepare, I have an area in the wood where I pile up branches and leaves etc, hopefully some will have found their way in there.
