garden layout - first strokes

I've more or less settled on this layout - for now, at least. I had one 4-tier mini-greenhouse (where the "shed" is now) but it got hardly any sun, so I moved it to the end; and then I got another one for storing small pots, string, odds and ends that I wanted to keep dry.

Making progress ...

but I hope this doesn't mean you're going to paint the whole garden purple ! ;o)))

lol no! I can't use normal display, becausae the white screen does my eyes in; I usually use the inbuilt Word option of white text on blue background. But folders etc open with white background, so I had to tweak the "window colour" to take off the glare.

This applies globally - the page that you've posted on is whtie, but the box I'm typing these words into is the same colour as the background on the uploaded plan.

I did try to take out the colour in Paint Shop, but that would have meant doing it square by square, and that was too much like hard work!

If you look in my profile you will see my "garden" is much smaller! It's about 3m long by 1.5m wide & 2m high! Even so, as you've seen in my photos, I cram in 100s of plants - using the 3 dimensions i.e. length x width x height!

nods, I've seen and envied a lot of your pics. You have an inset balcony, I think, with a roof, which gives a lot more scope for hanging baskets. Mine's "outset" with nothing overhead, and the windows take up much of the available wall space; I've got two thin strips of bare wall that I can get at for hanging baskets; under-window is going to be wall planters when I can get them fitted.
