You must have dropped some whacking great hints Alex, my rellies still say they find me "difficult to buy for"...I would LOVE a bag of compost for my birthday says I...oh no, couldnt buy you something like that, wouldnt be right!
I know I shouldnt tell someone what I want..but hints dont hack it!! lol!

BTW, the plant is beautiful, I love plumbago, just wish it was hardy.

Dropped hints....no, I just straight out told them. I want plants with roots.

What can you say tho? My lovely sis in law bought me a beautiful bunch of flowers for my birthday, white roses and lilies..it was huge..didnt like to say I wouldve preferred a bag of compost lol! The flowers lasted 4 days..I couldnt tell her of course. It was a lovely thought.

Weeeell, it is the thought that counts. It's a waste of money, give me roots anytime.

Oh yes, my roses and alstroes bloom all summer thru to October/November, I can cut loads for the house and wouldnt miss them from the garden. I do buy cut alstroes and carnations thru the winter months tho.
