Rose 'Winchester Cathedral'

The dry weather must have been good for roses Kathy because ours are giving a good show this year .. :o)

Oh! That looks nothing like my Winchester! It looks to have small floribunda flowers, whereas mine are huge and singly borne. Oh no, not another misidentified plant in my garden...off to check.....:S....oh, sorry, it's lovely btw!

Ah, now could it be that yours is Winchester? there seem to be two white roses, one is winchester and one is winchester cathedral......I'm not sure...what do you think?

Just checked my label Karen and it does say winchester cathedral, the buds don't normally open all at once like this usually one at a time think I have a picture last year with just one flower open and does look different, know its a sport of mary rose and do get the odd pink petals which I read you can.

Well then, that must be why it looks so different. yes, mine has pink on the buds, but I've not had an actual pink petal yet! I can't get a good photo of it because it's so white against the fence!

Yes does look really different from last year, but do have Mary Rose and does look the same habit, I've got a flower open today thats half pink and half white, quite pretty.

yes, I have Mary Rose also and they are definitely sisters!
