Very floliferous variety with lovely dark buds and backs to the flowers.

Thanks Karen :-) I had a new one open yesterday beautiful one called 'Applique', huge flowers, but didn't open fully, so hopefully a better flower tomorrow.

Very nice

That's lovely, almost like a Freesia, and I like the foliage too, nice contrast. Do you know if daylilies would stand a harsher climate, or do they need a lot of heat in summer?

Thats a very pretty one do like the way the backs of the flowers contrast with the yellow!

Thanks:-)
1poodle11 they're very tough plants survived last winter outside!!! Greenthumb who's a member on here(haven't seen him post lately) lives in Alaska and grows them there, I do have a few varieties that seem to show there colours even better on cloudy days.

That is such good news! I absolutely love all your beautiful varieties. I don't see many here but will definitely give them a go next year. Mind you, I think you have a way with them. You probably put a lot of effort into looking after them.

Thankyou 1poodle11, very kind of you.
They really are very tough plants and don't need any special treatment at all, grow in most soil types, don't suffer many pests or disease, gall midge being the main one, and that only effects the early flowerers, just give them a sunny spot and a feed in the spring and they'll flower their heads off.
There are a couple of members on here who sell them 1poodle11, I've had some beauties from both, just put these names in the search engine at the top of the page and you'll find them both and their websites on their profile pages, beware though you'll want them all ;-) polliesdaylilies and botanicalady.

That just sounds like my kind of plant, because, I'm afraid my plants just get mollycoddled at the start of their lives and then it's up to them. Thank you for the links and the warning too. I could be in town all day without spending anything (apart from parking) but don't leave me unsupervised in a garden center;-) (or looking at a decent plant website, for that matter). Thanks again Amy! All your beautiful daylilies are really inspiring!
