Yes, Balboa Park is the largest urban park in the U.S. It's a city treasure. I go there a lot to walk my dog. I also, lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for many years and used to go to Golden Gate Park quite a bit. I used to go to Strybing Arboretum (which is now called San Francisco Botanical Garden) at least once a month.

When I was stationed there in the early 80's I lived on the west side of the park, and it was always nice to go for a walk around there. Balboa & Golden Gate are the 2 best parks in California. :)
