I too have got several roses in north facing sites and i agree, they do really well !

Yes Rachelsmum it is a climber, up to around 6 feet and does well in shade, retaining it's dark colour. :-)

Absolutely love this rose. OH asked for it at David Austin roses some time ago, but the assistant didn't give it a glowing bill of health, and so put him off buying it. You don't seem to have had any probs, Muddy - Le Docteur looks beautiful!

It's such a short season for some Roses that it's a real shame when the weather spoils them. Fingers crossed here too.
