thanks guys, I love poppies but wished they didn't go so brown at their base.

I have these poppies in a slightly darker shade given to me by my brother-in-law they really are stunning.

they are Numbty, I have a dark purple one in another border in the garden too, v. pretty

I had deep Pink ones that suddenly appeared at the front several weeks ago...looked pretty while they lasted...just like yours...

I agree with you on that ... they are fascinating to watch as they climb up into Foxgloves & Aquilegias in my garden . . . .
