Cirsium Rivulare Atropurpureum in front of Choisya Ternata 'Sundance'

Cirsium Rivulare Atropurpureum in front of Choisya Ternata 'Sundance' (Cirsium rivulare (Plume thistle))

I have loved this in my long border so a week ago I bought four more, so now they are right along the border and give a lovely colour at about 6' height. The bees adore this!

I bet they do! I just found "my" bees have just flown their nest in the corner, which is a little sad, as it was such a joy to see them crawling in and out. More queens (I hope), though.

Oh, now I was reading an article about bees and how they leave nests etc....think it must have been in July's The Garden mag (RHS). They are fascinating! lovely little creatures! :))

I really do not want to see this, I am fed up with buying them to lose them, grew them in the midlands no probs....so annoying, by the way it looks great lol

Ah, that's a shame DD. I bought four more this summer, because I loved this one so much. Now I have them along the length of the shady border and they will give me good height along there....if they survive....;))
