Thanks Tet! really appreciate the help...as I checked out the Iris sites on the web...and was stunned to see how many different types and how many pages...and pages...of pictures there are... I gave up looking after 20 minutes. There are pages on re-bloomers too! so much info..so little time. Will go back in when I'm feeling lucky! lol

We are lucky with our OH's, aren't we? With what I get for pension no bank would touch me...lol. So...what else are you growing besides Irises? I'm thinking that a good plant for me to specialize in is the miniature roses because they flower so well and are very tolerant of our extreme climate! You should see them...tiny little plants and gorgeous little flowers in such a variety of colours and they spend at least five months in the deep freeze! and will do it year after year, and not succumb to blackspot, aphids or rust...pretty good in my book.(I'm afraid I've disturbed mine seriously with the move.) (I'm still adding to my Iris collection tho!)

Miniatures arent for me Lori, I love big and blowsy when it comes to roses lol! I must admit the black spot and rust are a nuisance especially here in the West but havent had mildew yet (shhh!)
Ive got about 25 clematis and roughly the same number of roses, but now have over 100 different irises so cant specialise in anything else..no room left!

I'm still trying to clean up the area...haven't started on my beds yet...I should be out there but I'm playing on the computer...It's sad. But there you are! Wow 100 different Irises! I never realized your obsession had become a mania until just this second... You really are lucky your OH is so understanding...(or does he share your obsession/mania?) lol....

I guess his mania must be for me (tho I dont understand why!!) or he wouldnt approve of me buying them

I had a feeling it wouldn't work when I saw it strung out across the page like that! I have a facebook page and I subscribe to a newsletter from the Proven Winners plant developers... maybe if you googled "Proven Winners.com" it might work...it's in their most recent one. will see if I can put it in my favourites and then I can send it to you in a file. Will p/m you my facebook address.
