Hi Cazcat, thanks for your comment, you certainly have packed a lot into your "little back garden"...can't remember where morayshire comes on the map of Scotland but your acer seems wonderful....does it suffer from windburn like mine do here in Wales ? my sister lives in Midlothian so we spend a lot of time moaning about the weather good ! bad ! or indifferent!
