It certainly has lovely markings and I like the flower, and its colour, just doesn't resemble zebra stripes!

Good job that I didn't name it then!!!!!

Easier to say than -aeschynanthus-marmoratus tho!

I can spell bat plant from memory!!
I would have to work on aes-chy-nanthus then the marmoratus - reminds me of marmite!
28 Jun, 2011
Mmmmm, Marmite.......
28 Jun, 2011

I've just passed (so dropped in) the "very expensive garden centre" where I got this from. They have some very nice Columnea arguta (£12) and Alsobia dianthiflora (£8.50) in.
28 Jun, 2011
Were you tempted to get one?
(btw never tried veggiemite)

Don't bother Sticki - it's kak!!
I am, but I'm waiting until the weekend to consider the choice. At the moment I'm leaning towards this one......

Well I rather like that too, trailing and with those spectacular flowers
28 Jun, 2011
out of the two Meanie i think that i prefer the Alsobia dianthiflora the white flower is spectacular !
28 Jun, 2011
Tough call eh!
The Columnea could trail a metre or more, not sure about the ultimate length of the Alsobia......
28 Jun, 2011
I do like the White one but I think I like the red better.
28 Jun, 2011
There you go then Sticki - treat yourself (again)!!!
28 Jun, 2011
Computer is broken - will have to replace that first!
28 Jun, 2011

29 Jun, 2011
Now that would be nice Amy!

Not sure meanie, it will cost a fair amount to find out and it might be better to put that money towards the new one, had this one quite a while, used it and filled it up, the buttons aren't working any more, worn out I think.
29 Jun, 2011
There comes a time I suppose.......
29 Jun, 2011
I think so. I have had my money's worth out of this one so it's not so bad!
Question is do I go for apple or normal?
29 Jun, 2011
That's a matter of taste (excuse the pun).
29 Jun, 2011
Will have to go shopping then and have a bit of a play!
