He was habituated to an open door...I used to leave milk soaked bread (his very favourite...better than earthworms) in a saucer inside the door...just incase he was peckish between feedings...during the cold time he must have gone to warmer climes, because I never saw much of him...but sure enough as soon as I left the door open in he comes!! I don't know how to describe the feeling...amazement...warmfuzzy...aw heck I love the little critter.

I'm a huge fan of Johnny Depp...and I loved the character of Jack Sparrow in the Pirate movies... haven't seen Sweeney Todd yet... but my little sparrow survived against the odds...and that's just like Pirate Jack Sparrow...lol. They even have the same last name!! lol...although Cap'n Jack Sparrow is in DAVEY Joneses locker...

Johnny Depp is such a Hunk ;) iv seen most of his Films now ,Have u seen the film "From Hell" hes so young in that ,But still as Handsome :)

I really liked the one where he's a writer who's murdered his wife and doesn't know it and he thinks he's being stalked by this weird man who turns out to be his own split personality!! whew! quite a plot...but I was having fun just watching him!!! It's title is The... Window...wish I had a memory like I used to have.

Hi Jacque!... guess I should say that Jacky isn't a pet in the truest sense...he's still a wild sparrow and comes and goes with this flock...but he knows the best restaurant in town and likes to treat his friends...I was surpised when he hopped over the threshold and started looking in the old spot for his food... he was wild and I never tried to tame him to my finger but he would let me pick him up...his second day out I had to rescue him pitiful and soaked after a cold rainy night...wrapped him in a facecloth...brought him in until he was dry, fed him and he just said "thanks, Mom" and hopped on out the back door... he stayed in the backyard all last summer but when it started to get really cold last fall I was fearing the worst when I didn't see him...so you can see why I was over-the-moon...when he just blithely hopped back in the door!
