Verbascum 'Jackie' (Verbascum 'Jackie')

These plants were given the chelsea chop after suffering a battering from the kittens when they first went out too play....have grown back better that they were!

I'm going to lime mine this autumn Scottish. Apparently they like an alkaline soil.

Do they? I dont have a clue what type of soil I have. My rhoddies all do well. Camellias not so good. Hydrangea is purple, neither blue nor pink. I should really look into this.
They must be pretty happy since they have bounced right back :)

Sounds like you might have the same soil as me...neutral to slightly acid. I feed my rhodys and camellias every year. My Hydrangea is in a pot. My verbascum comes back every year but never really thrives or gets bigger, so I'm going to lime it from now on, along with my Hellebores.
