Love Thyme too...I have Lemon Thyme, and hard pruned it last year as it got very woody...then thought I might have over done it, but it's back with lovely new growth..

That's a shame...They do say to replace them every 3-4 years, but I see yours is even older, and is looking very healthy...Do you use it in cooking...I try and get as much to dry for the Winter months as possible...as to buy herbs is so expensive...and home grown and naturally dried is so much more flavoursome....

Not this one it is grown only as a rockery plant. But if grown as a herb you would need to replace them from cuttings to keep them young and leafy.
