They're right next to Dahlia 'David Howard', which is orange, and matches the Achillea! I couldn't get the flowers in the photo, so you'll have to imagine it. lol.

I have mine with my new climbing rose 'Warm Welcome'. It is too small yet otherwise I would have got it in the picture :) I had planted some bright orange gladiolli but only 1 has dared shown it's face. I had a feeling it might have been a bit too moist for them here, but they we going cheap so it was worth a try. I'm closing my eyes and imagining Spritz....very nice :)

I must look at yours. :-) I've lost ALL my gladioli. (sob sob)

Oh dear Spritz that is awful. Did you plant this year or were they overwintered in the garden. I planted some and I also planted Mirabilis in the same pots. I thought I had lost them but they are coming through now.

No, they'd been in the ground for several years, and came up each summer faithfully. Not this year, sadly.

That is unfortunate. One door closes and another opens so what will you replace them with. You might find them popping up in future years from baby corms which will take time to mature.

I'd like to think they might do that, Scotsgran, but if they don't, I'm not too bothered, really. I do have the spiky leaves of Crocosmia there. :-)

Thanks. I'm almost repeating myself on the stream bank - watch this space - I'll show you when it's all planted up. ;-)

Hi there...I'm new to the site so am still learning the ropes. Have been viewing your photos. All so lovely!! When I came upon this I noticed you have a plant included in this planting that I've been trying to identify. Could you tell me what the plant to the lower right in this photo is? It looks to have variegated, heart shaped leaves, and purple stems. Is this the case? Thanks in advance for any help you can offer. Kindest Regards

It's Lamium galeobdolon, Hsm. Please don't plant it - it's an out and out THUG and you'll never get rid of it!
Thank you for looking at some of my trillions of photos. :-) Welcome to GOY, by the way.
