This is the second colour surprise...didn't get anything last year from this one either...Peter's Pears I've uploaded already...
I think this should be darker...but first bloom, can't complain...

It's gorgeous! I love them, but they always need staking up here, so I grow the smaller species ones instead. Only one of my little pinky ones has flowered this year :(

I planted a few gladiola bulbs from Lidl, earlier this year, but so far I've only got one quite sad looking leaf! :(

That happened to me last year Karen...I didn't get one, all dead in bud...so you can imagine my excitement this year, waiting to see what is what...There's one more to come and that's a pure white...no sign yet...When they are all finished they can be moved out of the Nursery bed into the main garden...
It's strange Karensusan when the same plants are giving problems, and we're in different Countries...Climate change I suppose... They do need staking, Glads have a tenancy to grow forward, regardless... :))

its a gorgeous colour! Like it better than yellow..I dont know why im not keen on yellow.
