I took out my 'Jacques Cartier' yesterday. Year after year of mouldy balls....it has no rain resistance at all....so I thought..what's the point? Better to grow something that's actually going to perform for me. Out it came...it was hard, but I'm glad I've done it now because it was against the fence with the neighbours and now I've planted the Sambucus Nigra there which will grow much bigger and screen us off a lot more.

Karen where did you aquire this gorgeous Rose from..was it David Austin!!

Glamis Castle is same here, not many have been fully developed, will be careful not to get any that are poor in rain. That is if they tell you on the website. I got mine from Crocus Crissue, think Karen did too.

18 Jul, 2011

Yup...because you can't get it from DA until the winter as they don't do it containerised.....so i got it from Crocus as I just 'couldn't wait' ;)

Like mother like daughter lol!!!!!

I prefer to buy bare rooted from them, as the carriage works out expensive for containers 'cause of the weight...I've got two ordered for shipping in November...

18 Jul, 2011

Ah, yes of course crissue! Bare roots better for you...definitely!

18 Jul, 2011

I can add on Hot Chocolate to my order tho, if they'll supply it bare rooted...Nice...don't know where it will go tho..:)))

18 Jul, 2011

Ach, I think you will find somewhere! :)
