Sat out on friday on my birthday with friends and family on a gorgeous sunny day when the largest dragon fly i have ever seen landed on the arch and stayed there quite a while. Thought i would share this with you.

I've never yet photographed one - by the time I get the camera and get it ready to take, it's flown off! .. one day maybe ...

This one must have stayed there for nearly an hour. it didn't seem to be a bit bothered by us.

Brilliant well done on getting a picture, think they are worse than butterflies to capture on film.
