Was given this cutting from my Mother-in-Laws neighbour.
She gave me 2 about 5yrs ago, but I replanted them and think they've not had enough sun, so haven't flowered.
This one she gave at the beginnng of this year, so it has done well.

Thankyou Shirley.
Still has plenty of buds to come out.

Thats a lovely one they like to be pot bound before flowering, in pots they flower best.

I had the other 2 in pots, but planted them in the ground, near the back wall, and I don't think they've had enough sun.
This one is still in a pot, and faces the sunlight. It's a new piece this year.
This one only has the one flower head, but I wasn't sure if it would flower at all this year.

No these do prefer pots they say if in the ground its rare they flower, only the white ones I know of that will flower in the ground.

Well I've learnt something now. My other two are also blue.
Will have to dig them up and plant in pots, although I'm almost certain they flowered last year, but the flower heads weren't very big.
I thought the Lady that gave them had hers in the garden.
Having said that, hers are in full sun almost all day. (when we get the sun, that is).

The only place I ve ever seen them flowering in the ground is in Cornwall, every garden show and on goy they always say they like to go in pots and get pot bound, make sure you give them lots of drainage even in the ground less they will rot.

Been checking the ones in the garden today. The leaves are really strong and healthy, but not a bud in sight.
Will have to rethink where I can pot transplant them too.

:o)) Where ever the sun shines on them I put mine in one of those plastic pots but do make sure it has a lot of drainage as too much wet will rot them like last winter happened to mine.
