Lovely tree! Fine scented flowers too! I would have one here but think it's too cold and harsh in the winter for it.

hi Lulu, here too they get mowed down with great regularity, if we have a spell below -15C for more than just a night, they die off too, but in the spring they will regrow from the bottom again, and they grow quick, especially with a bit more water than they get from me!
once they are established they sprout from the creeping roots and you will have lots of babies.
yes gorgeous smell, this one put on its first show last year.
i think though if you have a sheltered spot for it, you would make a good chance of it establishing, worth a try.
