I did.........no sign this year, very upset.

Oh no - Andrew said slugs and snails eat the young growth, so I'd think they were the culprits. My 'Red Jewel' has vanished. :-(((

Mine were all 'slugged' off - is there a list of slug-proof plants anywhere?

I was being lazy - I've just 'googled' and there are dozens of lists online.
