..it only just made it through the winter, I'm so glad it did...lovely shiny leaves and bright white flowers to cheer up the shady spot on the fence :))

Karen do the branches on this one snap very easily. I ask because I bought one I think its called Donard seedling and the twigs and branches are very brittle and snap easily.

Sorry Stroller, I don't know the answer to your question. I've planted them both against the fence, so I don't walk past them at all, and the dog hasn't done them any damage...yet! I'm sorry to hear that though, I find that very frustrating...my Cercis Canadensis Forest Pansy is awful for it ....you only have to touch a branch and it snaps off...really annoying!

Stroller, that shouldn't be, the stems are quite flexible and bendy, with age they can get a bit more brittle but definately not the new growth.
They benefit hugely from hard pruning so always do that regularly Stroller.
