Hi J, It's not supposed to be fully hardy...but noone told this one! There are a few around here, in different shades, but this one's the biggest and the best...a present from the previous owners - thank you Mr. Huret! :))))

Fantastic, I really like Lagerstoemias saw some lovely ones in Italy, like the bark as well as the flowers wish they would flower better over here!!!

P...I think they're much hardier than described...and get through very cold winters...but they do like the sun!!!

They do survive over here but I think the one at Cambridge B.G. has only flowered twice in 50 years!

I can understand that...mine was in amost full flower, quite early this year (sun and temperatures of 30-50°)...then when we had a spell of colder, wet weather...blossoms gone :(((

It is quite something, but finished flowering now...
