can't wait til mine get settled. when I lifted the bulbs they got lumped in with my acidanthera bulbs and I'm not sure how the front bed will look when the blooms start because I just planted them all together! Always next year!

Might turn out to be great, funny how accidents like that can work out.

Will try not to get them mixed up. Plan to put the crocosmias in a special bed, yet to be located. I'm still reeling from the sheer number of wildflowers...started work today on the garden beside the stream. Planted the ligularias there along with the Tradescantia and some annual poppies. Have a few blooms so I will have fresh seed for next season. the Eupatorium is blooming with the Solidago and the myriad asters...suppose I really should be more conscientious about mapping and listing them...could be a subject for a blog but I barely have time to check out blogs and pics of my favs before it's past my bedtime!

I know what you mean about time..however did I have time for a job?! I had a lazy day yesterday, think I overdid the walking around Oxford and those 200+- steps in the Sheldonian!
It looks like being drizzle and wind today, but still have a few plants to put in. Love the sound of your light blue lobelia mentioned elsewhere

In my last garden the blue lobelia produced mucho seed. will keep an eye and send you some if you would likeÉ Where the heck has my question mark and apostrophe goneÉÉÉ ...hate it when settings change all by themselves...grrr. just got a laptop and having a period of adjustment. lol...

Eh up Tet, I think I may have this one thanks...not 100% sure though as a lot look the same to me. The only ones I'm sure of are solfatare, which I seem to have lost, and Lucifer which spreads amazingly too. I have a rather pretty one which pops up everywhere even in bog garden. If you want some flippin' Lucifer or tuther un you're welcome;-)

Thanks BA, can I take a raincheck? I have a few leaves poking up where Lucifer used to be. They wont flower this year, so will have to wait and see what they are next year. Could be Emily McKenzie but those leaves have a brownish hue, so probly Lucifer.

Of course Tet, I'm sure I'll always have spare lucifer:-)

Very attractive and unusual. Wonder how they do in flower arrangments. I mean do they last long? You seem to be having a lovely garden Tet. I know a lot of old songs too.........

They are great for arrangements Vavilla! Ive picked them as the first flower opens and have had them in a vase for two weeks if its not too warm.
Thanks for the garden compliment Vavilla, but a medal goes to OH, for planting and a medal for the flowers which are doing so well this year.
I just point and say "plant this dear", which OH does quite happily..occasionally I say "dont like it there after all, please could you move it" and like a lamb he does..not a word of complaint! Am I lucky or what??

Saw your comment only now Tet. Thank you. If they last for two weeks, they are the answer to the cut flower industry just like Orchids and anthuriums. Tulips too I suppose. They are exporting carnations too from here in addtion to Orchids and Anthuriums.

You are lucky to have someone who shares the same interest. Opposites attract? I don't believe it will be lasting. If you have a partner who does everything the way you want......he could be BH....better half and you could be the same for him too. No time to sing with two cats and one kitten demanding attention all the time and soon there will be three more running around and messing up the garden. Still someone has to look after these strays.
