how did you make the surrounding pebbles so smooth? i have seen lots of smooth pebbles but usually they seem more 3D??

It's river washed slate, some of it so thin and very silver. It's lovely stuff!

Lulu...what sort of weight do your Mosaics carry when finished.......!!

This one is really quite heavy, it's the slate. And it 8 x 29". Luckily we have stone walls here!

Going back to the earlier discussion, I really like this and I think it has a universal appeal, jobs a goodun : )

Thanks Stevie, I like the organic, symbolic ones best. Just make a few different types to cater for all tastes.
Sticki Toffee made a wonderful 'river' mosaic for her garden, she came to visit yesterday. We had a great time in the workshop and playing with the dogs. Hope StickiT will post her pic sometime today.
