Didn't flower at all last year, so pleased to see this today. I moved it last year so it is clearly happier in it's new home, although I still wouldn't say it's vigorous like some of my others. Perhaps it is a weak growing variety.....nice soft orange colour anyway.

That ones really pretty Karen, I love the soft colour. Looks good with the dark foliage behind.

I bought myself a couple of newbies this year too, George Davison, and Jackanapes, Jackanapes is two tone (red/orange) and it is very bright and strong looking. Would go well in your hot border Karensue. Hope they survive the winter for me. Okavango is lovely not seen this one yet!! like them if they are not too invasive as they fill in the gaps nicely. and seem to flower for quite a long while. Lucifer is about finished now. He was beautiful this summer.

Thanks everyone...it does look well beside the acer doesn't it....I agree with you Linda, these are really useful at this time of year. Sadly, I really can't squeeze any more in...it's getting really crowded out there! I think I'll have to start a nursery soon, just to get rid of some of the 'overspill'!

Looks lovely Karen. I rely on Crocosmia for colour at this time of the year.
