Panoramic shot/experiment

 Panoramic shot/experiment

The was taken on a borrowed Sony DSC-HX5V which has a rather nifty function. You can sweep pan the camera and it reassembles or stitches the image together. So I thought ah lets see how this copes with walking along my frontage.
This first one is walking and panning the camera

You can see from this one that it goes up n down a bit but amazing in that this was just handheld walking along

17 Aug, 2011

Impressive.

want! Does it take good reds!

20 Aug, 2011

Lol, not really sure. It looks much better big on the screen and quite good since it was builing the image as it went. I saw a youtube clip using the video riding a bike and the image stabalization was top. However for all its gimicy wonders its still essencially restricted to its lens so i would still prefer a DSLR as the next camera

dont think i fancy wobbling along on a bike with a camera in one hand!??

20 Aug, 2011

But I would enjoy imagining it!!!

20 Aug, 2011

Can you be banned from cycling unsafely?

20 Aug, 2011

can be busted drunk in charge, apparently, though never tried it....don't have a bike, itgot nicked in the 80's and never replaced it!

20 Aug, 2011

I have one - ought to use it more - too many hills!

20 Aug, 2011

I have followed David whilst running on a bike and still couldn't keep up. Have given up since then! Too many hills here too. Even the little ones you don't think are there!

20 Aug, 2011

Running on a bike!? You are very talented!

20 Aug, 2011

You guys have just reminded me of something.

A long time ago when I was 16 I went to friends house on my very nice racing bike. We partook of some of his dads murky homemade wine. Well got back ok and went to bed. Woke up early the next day and my bike seemed to have been stolen, I couldnt find it anywhere. So I walked out and down to the end of the road and saw my bike on the top of someones front garden rockery. I could see a new gap in the hedge where I must have gone though and then crashed. Didnt remember it at all. Must have just got up and kept going. So stepped into the drive and got my bike back without anyone noticing.
Thinking back maybe this was an early introduction to gardening and my subconcious attitude towards it that would affect my approach from then on ; )

20 Aug, 2011

Good story! So from there you started growing hedges or grapes to make wine??

20 Aug, 2011

Well actually I dont much like hedges come to think of it but I do have a ropy grape vine that i have neglected a bit!

It used to be that there was no limit for sailing a boat so you could be totally sloshed in charge of a boat.

20 Aug, 2011

Pub crawl down the river then?

20 Aug, 2011

That sounds easier Sticki!

21 Aug, 2011

21 Aug, 2011

I think he is Sticki!
I quite like the wellies with frog faces on the front but they don't come in my size!

21 Aug, 2011

yes i like those and the ladybird ones.

what is stevie the t going to say when he finds we have hijacked his photo blog for wellie crawling!!!!???

21 Aug, 2011

well when I used to live in Dorset, around Poole harbour and the coast you could often see the odd gin palace with people just drinking on ther deck and going nowhere.
I dont mind hijacking, if fact if we went into a pub with wellies and kneepads they would know we were serious drinker ; )

21 Aug, 2011

so which pub do we start in stt??

21 Aug, 2011

Goy Map of pub britain? or shall we keep it local? Worcs, Glous, n Monmouthshire or maybe just descend on some other location?

21 Aug, 2011

what an excellent idea ~ meet in the middle and then when we get chucked out we can descend somewhere else!!??

anyone know a good pub??

21 Aug, 2011

Just a few! Mainly around here though!
I prefer to drink at home, don't have to worry about driving it's just negotiating the spiral stairs that can pose a problem....20 stiches to proove my point! In hospital.............have you had a drink dear!!!

21 Aug, 2011

21 Aug, 2011

22 Aug, 2011

22 Aug, 2011

is it a bird, is it a plane ~ no its lulu drinking again???

22 Aug, 2011

Oh ha!
Yes it was silly and painful and I was very lucky not to cut something big like a fat pumping artery! The shock was the worst!
Won't be doing that again, get drunk, kip on sofa, watch the planes from there!!

22 Aug, 2011

sorry lulu. i should think it was awful ~ not made you tee total tho???

22 Aug, 2011

tee total.......Urm............nope! Made me more careful of the stairs though!
I recently gave someone a telling off for getting p*&^**sed, hauling himself up the stairs, had to help in the end.
You may one day soon see those dreaded stairs!! and you will see what I mean!

22 Aug, 2011

stairs in this house are not good either ~ i sleep downstairs normally!!!

22 Aug, 2011

When I first came to my place I went out for a drink with a friend and got very drunk. I did that thing where you are so drunk you cant get the key in the door so I had to kneel down and try and guide the key in. It had been a bit of a walk so was then very tired and the drink had kicked in. When the door finally open I fell in with it.

In the morning my neighbour rushed over in a panic. I cant blame her as she just saw a pair of legs sticking out the doorway ; )

23 Aug, 2011

LoL! Hubby got drunk one night in London and left the key IN the door!

23 Aug, 2011
